She passed away peacefully while living in the home of her daughter Joy and her husband, where she had resided for the past fifteen years. Bessie Estalene was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, RV Wells; her grandparents Curtis L. Blanton, Effie Cora Murray Blanton, Daniel Morgan Wells, and Bessie Rivenbark Wells; her parents Pender Wells and Cora Lee Blanton Wells; and her siblings Addie Wells Liss, Samuel H. Wells, and Daniel B. Wells; her brother-in-law Stanley Rivenbark; and her sisters-in-law Sandra Wells and Linda C. Wells. Left to cherish her memory are her children; Don A.... She was born December 18, 1929 in Johnston County, the daughter of the late Jeptha Barefoot and Viola Williams Barefoot. Ms. Peacock was a member of Unity Presbyterian church. She graduated from Meadow High School in 1949. After high school she worked for Dorothea Dix Hospital in Raleigh, Philips Ice Cream Company in Clinton where her favorite flavor was Hawaiian Delight, and on her family's farm in the Meadow Community.
